Volunteer at the Minnesota Garlic Festival!
As a non-profit organization, volunteers are the heart and soul of the Garlic Festival. This event wouldn’t be possible without the amazing community of over 100 volunteers who donate thousands of volunteer hours. The Garlic Festival offers many unique event volunteer opportunities the day of the event, as well as year-round opportunities as a planning team member. Schedule and details for volunteering at the event will be posted Spring 2026.

Volunteer Requirements and Eligibility
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have signed consent of a parent or guardian. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer without an accompanying guardian. Children between the ages of 10 to 15 may volunteer if accompanied by a guardian 21 years of age or older; at least one adult must be present for every two children.

Then download and fill out the Volunteer Release Agreement and send it to our Volunteer Coordinator.
Finally, please read out Volunteer Handbook.
Filling out the form indicates that you wish to provide volunteer services to SFA and that you expect to receive no compensation or any other benefits traditionally associated with employment for those services. You also grant SFA the rights to photographs, video or audio recordings of you made by SFA in connection with your volunteer services, and you agree that SFA may use or publish them. Thanks!
