Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteer at the Garlic Festival!

As a non-profit organization, volunteers are the heart and soul of the Garlic Festival. This event wouldn’t be possible without the amazing community of over 100 volunteers who donate thousands of volunteer hours. The Garlic Festival offers many unique event volunteer opportunities the day of the event, as well as year-round opportunities as a Festival Coordinator.

  • Not only do you get to have fun and work “backstage” with one of the coolest festival crews on the planet, but volunteers receive:

    • One Festival volunteer T-shirt.

    • Festival admission for the day of the Garlic Festival

    • One free meal ticket

    • VIP Parking

  • Volunteers under the age of 18 must have signed consent of a parent or guardian. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer without an accompanying guardian. Children between the ages of 10 to 15 may volunteer if accompanied by a guardian 21 years of age or older; at least one adult must be present for every two children.

    1. Please fill out our short Volunteer Shift Selection Form.

    2. Then download and fill out the Volunteer Release Agreement and email it to our Volunteer Coordinator.

    3. Finally, please read out Volunteer Handbook.

***Filling out the form indicates that you wish to provide volunteer services to SFA and that you expect to receive no compensation or any other benefits traditionally associated with employment for those services. You also grant SFA the rights to photographs, video or audio recordings of you made by SFA in connection with your volunteer services, and you agree that SFA may use or publish them. Thanks!

Volunteer as a Festival Coordinator

Coordinators are vital to our success and take on a variety of leadership roles. While commitments vary, coordinators are generally present for the full duration of the festival, with many also contributing time to coordination efforts leading up to the event.

We are currently looking to fill the following Event Coordinator roles:

Admissions Co-Coordinator: Directs volunteers and manages operations at  admission gates.

Info Booth Co-Coordinator: Greets attendees, provides festival information, and leads information booth volunteers.

Volunteer Co-Coordinator: Works with Co-volunteer lead for the day of festival  providing essential information to all volunteers.

Grounds Co-Coordinator: Works with the Festival Manager to set up the festival on the day before and morning of, maintains the grounds during open hours, assists in the tear down and storage after closing.

VIP Farmer Coordinator: Leads coordination of support and recognition for our VIP farmer participants and attendees

In recognition of this commitment, coordinators get a staff t-shirt, complimentary food and beverages, VIP parking, and free admission.
